Exceptional Touch is a small, family-run, non-medical home care agency in Jackson. Most families who call us are caring for a parent with Alzheimer's or dementia, and they are tired. We can help with that.

Do you take Medicaid?
We do not bill Medicaid or Medicare. Families pay privately or through a long-term care insurance policy. If you need a Medicaid provider, call anyway and we will point you to one.
How soon can someone start?
Usually within a few days. We visit first, agree on a plan with you, then match a caregiver.
How much does in-home care cost?
The 2025 CareScout Cost of Care Survey puts Mississippi's median rate for a non-medical caregiver at $24 an hour. We quote your rate on the free in-home visit, after we know the hours and the care.

Is there a minimum number of hours?
We build the schedule around your family, from a few hours a week to 24-hour care. Ask us on the call.
What happens on the free in-home visit?
We come to your home, meet your loved one and listen to what is going on. Then we write a care plan you approve before anything starts. No charge, no pressure.
Are your caregivers trained and background-checked?
Yes. Every caregiver is background-checked, and our caregivers get training and continuing education in Alzheimer's and dementia care. The caregiver is hand-picked for each family.
Can VA benefits help pay for care?
Sometimes. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid and Attendance, which may help pay toward in-home care. We are not a VA provider and do not file claims, but we can tell you where to start.
